Been coming here for my apps for a while,staff are super friendly and kind i never been mistreated, they let me bring my daughter along , im going to have sugery standard duodenal switch they do accept health plan of san joaquin but you cant miss any appointments and takes up to 7 to 8 months and you have weigh ins every month, you have to have a zoom call with several other people its a long process but so worth it:)"

"I am speaking from my experience thus far. I have not had my surgery yet but I am scheduled in a month. I have private PPO insurance and I am going in for a Distal Revision procedure. NONE of my visits leading up to pre-authorization were covered by my insurance even though they accept my insurance and I was approved for surgery. This is MY INSURANCE COMPANIES POLICY, not a office policy. ( ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES HAVE THEIR OWN POLICIES SO MAKE SURE YOU ASK YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THEIR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES LEADING UP TO PRE-AUTH) I had RNY back in 2006 in San Francisco at UCSF and I have regained about 80% of my lost weight due to 3 pregnancies and medication. My primary care doctor did a referral and it took a very long time to get scheduled in for my consultation. I was eventually told I had to have imaging of my stomach and intestines done at Modesto Advanced Diagnostic Imaging. Once I was made aware of that and had that done I got in quickly! The staff is awesome!! I highly advise EVERYONE to HAVE PATIENCE and be POLITE! Their nutritionist are amazing and the Facebook support page they run for all patients is AWESOME! I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED JOINING once you become a patient. They also host get togethers (such as Christmas parties) for their patients to get together and support one another and give patients who have lost weight a comfortable environment to dress up post-op and begin to enjoy their new body and socialize with fellow patient's. The staff truly does their best but weight loss surgery is in VERY HIGH DEMAND and there are patients from all over the central valley and even from the bay area who come here for their surgery. With proper care for ALL pre and post op patients it is a VERY VERY BUSY OFFICE and the only other office is in Stockton. They are very strict on their schedules and if you miss your scheduled appointments for diet doctor reviews you will start the process over. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS AMAZING and if they can't help you they will find someone who can help. PLEASE be mindful of newly hired employees who are being trained and doing their best, we all have been in their position of being a new hire in the past and proper staffing at a very busy office like Cantral California Surgery IS VITAL! I will do a update once I am a post op patient!"
